Your Youth Pass is accepted on ship crossings between Italy & Greece, France & Ireland, Denmark & Sweden & Finland, as well as on various steamers, buses, and cable cars. You must be under 26 years of age to travel on a Youth Pass.
The Eurail Global Pass offers the advantages of the Eurail Global Youth Pass unlimited train travel in 22 European Countries), but in 1st Class instead of the 2nd Class covered by the Youth Pass. Traveling in 1st Class offers not only a higher standard of comfort with larger train compartments, wider seats. etc., but also generally emptier train sections, so you'll need fewer seat reservations.
